Route
(i) The route will be Ashgrove Road, Belfast Road, Downshire Road, Trevor Hill, Kildare Street, Hill Street, Margaret Square, Margaret Street, The Mall. Bank Parade, Sugar Island, Trevor Hill, Downshire Road, Belfast Road, Millbrook Villas, Cloghanramer Road, Carnbane Way and Cloghanramer Road to the Demonstration Field.
(ii) To prevent complaints from spectators and ensure a memorable spectacle it is essential that Marshals ensure that no gaps occur between the Preceptories and/or Bands of their District Chapter or between District Chapters.
(iii) Under no circumstances, will a vehicle be permitted to take part in the Procession unless clearly displaying a “Vehicle Procession Permit”
(iv) On arrival at the junction of Cloghanramer Road / Carnbane Way Official Vehicles will be diverted into the Demonstration Field via a separate gate.
Demonstration Area
The Demonstration Field is located on the Cloghanramer Road approximately 1 mile from the centre of Newry City. No Vehicle will be permitted to exit the Demonstration field during the parade.
(i) Platform proceedings including the Worship Service will commence at 3.00pm and you are encouraged to ensure that your Preceptory is well represented.
(ii) Catering facilities will be available and Sir Knights who are aware of anyone wishing to cater on the day should pass the information to Sir Knight David Gilmore, Newry District (contact information below)
(iii) Rubbish bins/boxes will be provided and it is expected that all will use them - Sir Knights, Bands Members and Members of the Public.
(iv) A ZERO ALCOHOL policy will be enforced in this area.
Car

Sir Knights & Band Members arriving by private car.
Collarettes and Band Uniforms to be worn to enable PSNI Officers and Marshalls to easily identify you.
The nearest car park to the Assembly area is 0.5 mile away on the Ashgrove Road adjacent to the Belfast Road roundabout.
Alternatively passengers can be dropped off on the Belfast Road adjacent to the Police Station and walk the 0.25 mile along Ashgrove Road to the Assembly Area. Only Official Cars will be permitted to drive along Ashgrove Road to the Assembly Area.
Bus (preferred)
All 13 Black Districts will be running buses to Newry and please contact your local didtrict for bus time. last year 96 buses were at the Dundrum demonstration.
Travel & Arrival
All buses and coaches, which will be met by local Host Sir Knights, shall approach the drop off area on the Ashgrove Road from the same direction and shall arrive by 11.00 am.
(i) Mourne District via Rostrevor and Warrenpoint to Newry.
Buses will continue on the A2 Warrenpoint Road and Kilmorey Street, turn right at the junction of the A28 onto William Street, Abbey Way, High Street, Abbey Way, turn right onto Trevor Hill, then take the 1st exit off first roundabout and 2nd exit off second roundabout onto A28 Downshire Road and Belfast Road to the Belfast Road Roundabout, taking 3rd exit off roundabout onto Ashgrove Road.
(ii) All other Districts via A1 and A28 Belfast Road to Newry.
All other Districts, their buses/private hire coaches and official vehicles will approach Newry via the A1 and A28 to the Belfast Road Roundabout and take the 1st exit off roundabout onto Ashgrove Road.
Debussing
Buses/Private Hire Coaches and Official Vehicles will stop on the Ashgrove Road and move forward as directed by local Marshals to the Assembly Area at Newry High School where debussing will take place.
On arrival Sir Knights and Band members shall alight swiftly and make their way off the road into the High School Grounds.
