Who is the speaker?
The Rev. Nigel Reid grew up in the village of Sion Mills, Co. Tyrone. Nigel was educated at Strabane High School before taking up employment. He joined Glentimon Sons of William LOL 386 in 1988 and Glentimon RBP in 1990.
Nigel felt God's call into the Presbyterian Ministry in the late 90's and began training for the full time Ministry. From 2005 to 2007 he served as the Assistant Minister in the Cunningham Memorial Presbyterian Church, Cullybackey. In 2007 Nigel was ordained as the Minister of Tullyallen and Mountnorris Congregations, Co. Armagh, and has served there since.
The Loyal Orders have played a prominent role in Nigel's life and he has held numerous offices in both the Orange and Black Institutions. Most notably he served as the Assistant Sovereign Grand Master of the Royal Black Institution from 2010-2013, and in 2015 he was elected as an Imperial Grand Chaplain.
The Royal Black Institution is held in high regard by Nigel because of the practical ways in which the organisation communicates the truth of the Bible to it's members. Through the 'Black' he has been taught many lessons which he has found to be of great benefit throughout his life.
Nigel is a member of Bessbrook Purple Star LOL 959 and Bessbrook Crimson Arrow RBP 38.
